The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the last governorship election in Osun state, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji popularly called AMBO has implored residents of the state particularly those who are yet to collect their Permanent Voter's Cards, PVC, to do so without further delay.
Oyebamiji said the PVC remains the power of the people to electing leaders of their choice in the forthcoming general elections.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has resumed the distribution of PVCs across the ward collation centres.
AMBO, in a statement personally signed and made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Saturday, encouraged the residents to visit their ward collation centres to obtain their PVCs.
According to Oyebamiji, PVC remains the only key for the citizens to decide the future leaders who will administer the affairs of the country.
He appealed to those who had already collected their Permanent Voter's Cards to treasure and keep them safely ahead of the general elections.
Oyebamiji canvassed for the continuous support for the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration urging residents to prove their unflinching support by voting overwhelmingly for his re-election.
“The time has come again to go out in large numbers to obtain our Permanent Voter's Cards as we approach next general elections. INEC has resumed the distribution exercise and it is incumbent on us as citizens to exercise our civic responsibility by collecting the PVCs and vote. In Osun, there are uncollected PVCs that are still in the custody of the electoral umpire. Let us go there and collect ours.
"For those that are yet to collect their PVCs, I am imploring us to do so without further delay. For those that are already with their PVCs, please keep them safely. Our PVCs are our power and the only instrument to elect leaders of impeccable track-records that would bring about the desired development and good governance.
"I want to encourage us not to sell it as it remains the only instrument to participate in the election", Oyebamiji urged.
