‎The Ijesa Community Development Assembly (ICDA) receives with deep sorrow and solemn reflection the news of the transition of His Royal Majesty, HRM Oba Enoch Ademola Akinyemi, the Owa-Ooye of Imesi-Ile, who has taken his final bow and joined his ancestors.
‎
‎Kabiyesi was not merely a traditional ruler; he was a revered custodian of culture, a bridge between tradition and modernity, and a stabilising force within  Imesi-Ile and the wider Ijesaland. His reign was marked by dignity, wisdom, and an enduring commitment to the peace, unity, and progress of his people.

He upheld the sacred responsibilities of his office with honour, ensuring that the cultural heritage of Imesi-Ile remained protected, respected, and passed on with pride. His voice was steady in moments of uncertainty, and his presence was reassuring in times of communal challenge.
‎
‎Beyond the traditional institution, HRM Oba Enoch Ademola Akinyemi demonstrated a sincere passion for development and human progress. He consistently supported initiatives that promoted education, social harmony, and community advancement within his domain; Imesi-Ile, thereby contributing meaningfully to the broader vision of a more united and prosperous Ijesaland.

His leadership fostered cohesion, strengthened communal bonds, and inspired confidence in the enduring relevance of traditional institutions in contemporary society.
‎
‎As ICDA, we recognise and deeply appreciate his contributions to the development of our shared homeland. His transition is not only a loss to Imesi-Ile but to the entire Ijesaland, which has benefited from his wisdom, counsel, and dignified presence.
‎
‎His Royal Majesty's consistent attendance at the project campaigns, mobilisation exercises and programmes of the Ijesa Community Development Assembly (ICDA), both in Ibokun and Ilesa, stands as a remarkable testament to his dedication to the collective development of Ijesaland. He did not merely lend his royal status to the cause of progress; he demonstrated his solidarity by being physically present, identifying with the vision and encouraging the mobilisation of our people towards a shared future.
‎
‎His active participation reflected a profound understanding that the advancement of Ijesaland requires the cooperation of traditional institutions, community leaders and citizens alike. His presence at these engagements was a source of encouragement and a demonstration of the importance he attached to ICDA initiatives designed to improve the socioeconomic wellbeing of our people.
‎
‎HRM Oba Enoch Ademola Akinyemi was a celebrated and patriotic royal father whose commitment to the Ijesa cause transcended words. His consistent support for ICDA's projects and programmes exemplified the spirit of collective responsibility upon which meaningful community development is built. His legacy reminds us that genuine leadership is measured not only by the dignity of the office one occupies but also by the causes one embraces and the people one inspires.
‎
‎We extend our heartfelt condolences to the royal family, the Obokun LGA Traditional Rulers Council, and the entire people of Imesi-Ile. We pray that Almighty God grants them the fortitude to bear this loss and grants the soul of His Royal Majesty eternal rest among the ancestors.
