Preparation Notice for Iwude-Ijesa 2019 Gets to the Table of Osun Supervisor for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism

Representatives of Iwude Ijesa planning committee led by Chief Afolabi Igbaroola on Thursday 5th September 2019 put the notice of the preparation for 2019 edition of the annual Ijesa festival on the table of the State of Osun Supervisor for home affairs, culture and Tourism, Dr. Obawale Adebisi.

It was disclosed that the 2019 Iwude-Ijesa Festival has been rebranded for the unity of Ijesaland therefore all Obas from Ijesaland will be mobilized to attend the Festival and all Ijesaland Loca Goverment Chairmen will be assigned responsibilities both at the preparation level and at the celebration proper. The budget proposal for this year’s Festival and Brochure of events for the last five years were submitted to the Osun government office of Culture and Tourism.

With the Supervisor, Dr. Simeon Obawale Adebisi at the meeting were Mr. Samuel Olasupo Adeniyi, the Coordinating Director, office of Culture and Tourism, Mrs Oluwatoyin Ajayi, the Director of Tourism Board, Mrs Abiola Kolawole the Director of Arts and Culture, Mr. Sunday Oladiipo, Deputy Director, Tourism  among others. While Chief Afolabi Igbaroola was accompanied by Prince Isaac Haastrup, Comrade Owoborode Sunday the Ijesa Youth Forum President Elect and Mrs Oluwabunmi Ogunniyi  the Administrative Secretary for Iwude-Ijesa Planning Committee.
