A group of women, the Osun East Independent Female Campaign Committee (OEIFCC) on Thursday stormed markets in the Ife Central local government, Ife East local government and Ife Area Office to canvass votes for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Engr. Ajibola Famurewa, Engr. Kayode Adereti and other candidates ahead of the general elections.
OEIFCC consists of female members of the APC rooting for Tinubu/Shettima as next president and vice president of Nigeria in 2023 and all APC candidates in Osun East district.
Addressing thousands of women in Ile-ife, Princess. Olutowo Somade Oshin who is the coordinator of the group, urged market women to vote for the all APC candidates on February 25 and March 11.
“Yoruba lo kan, get your PVC and vote for Tinubu/Shettima and other APC candidates during this upcoming election." She said.
The members were received in the various markets by the Iyalojas: Ife central-Falilat Lawal, Iyaloja Ife east, Iyaloja Area office Alhaja Araokanmi.
Princess Jumoke Bepo, Hon. Lara Ikotun, Hon. Kofoworola Omole, Falaju shola, Idowu Isakunle, Afolabi Alaba with other members sensitised the traders on what they stand to gain once Tinubu becomes President.
