A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Modekeke, Ife East Local Government of Osun State, Hon. Kayode Sowade, on Friday, celebrated the Eid Fitri with Muslim faithful in Modekeke.
The Chieftain, who also gave out about 25 bags of 50kg of rice to be distributed among the Muslim community and Modakeke APC members on behalf Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola for the celebration, admonished faithful to model their life towards Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) who extended love to mankind in no small measure.
According to Sowade, it has been his usual practice to show love to everyone around him .
Sowade used the occasion to offer prayers a successful tenure for the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and state leader of the APC , Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola who he prayers God returns to office as the governor of the state in no distant time.
The Chieftain said the cordial relationship that exists between him and the Muslim faithful in the Modekeke remains a source of joy to him, adding he would ensure that he continues to support them.
While appreciating the Muslim community on behalf of Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola for their support during and after the just concluded elections in Modekeke, Sowade assured them that the APC government would not disappoint them or take the confidence reposed in him for granted.
“I don’t know how to express my appreciation to you. Your love for Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and myself is profound and nothing can be extended to you to compensate you for the unconditional acceptance. Kindly accept this gift as a token of my appreciation to you and sharing in the love of Ramadan. My dear sisters and brothers, better days are ahead. Aseyi s'amodun," he concluded.
