The Onileegbo of Ilegbo, Ayedire local government, Osun state, Oba Esan Olanbiwonninu, on Friday, advised the newly installed chieftaincy title holders of Ilaa-Ijesa to remain committed to the growth, progress, and development of Ilaa-Ijesa community of Atakumosa west local government.
Onileegbo gave this advice during the installation of three chiefs by the Alaa of Ilaa-Ijesa, Oba (Dr) Ojarotade Adewale at the town's ancient Civic Centre.
The three newly installed chiefs were Chief Olagoke Moses a businessman and philanthropist based in Manchester city, United Kingdom , who was installed as Otunba Atayese of ilaa ijesa, awards winning Chief Dr. Mrs Kemi Osikoya also from Uk installed as the Yeye Asiwaju of Ilaa-Ijesa and the popular Atakumosa market fabrics entrepreneur, Chief (Mrs) Ajakaye Bukola Adeniyi who was installed as the Yeyedofin of Ilaa-Ijesa
HRM, Oba Esan Olabinwoninu who was the chairman of the occasion said, "To whom much is given, much is expected as he admonished the new chiefs not to rest on their oars while highlighting the ongoing development projects in the community that include police station, solar light project and the modern civic Centre under construction.
Residents of Ilaa-Ijesa were very happy to host several traditional rulers and dignitaries who came to witness the installations as the community was thrown into festive mood with display of cultural dances. Oba (Dr) Ojarotade Adewale, reiterated that the community needs every son and daughter to unite and join hands together for the peace, progress and its development.
Dignitaries that graced the occasion included, royal fathers across the state, HRM Oba Samson Oluwafemi Bamidele, Owa Akinfin of Ikinfin Kingdom in Bolowaduro local government, His Royal Majesty, Oba Bamidele Adeyeye Olowookere, the Olumolu of Mogbara-Ijesa, High Chief Omoniyi Ogunyemi, the Lejoka of Ilesa, Asiwaju Awo of Ilesa. Alaa in council, hunters associations, market women, members of Ijesa sport clubs among others.
