Wednesday 25th October, 2023 at the Iwude Ijesa Permanent Secretariat, Okemese, Adimula Palace Square, Ilesa, Osun state, the he planning committee of the 2023 edition of the annual Iwude Ijesa Festival had organized meeting amongst the clubs and Societies in Ijesaland to encourage active involvement and participation at the forthcoming events that include Jumat Prayer, Church Service, Football matches, Inter School Debate, Ayo game, Cultural Day, Marathon Race and the epic which is the grand finale slated for Saturday 23rd December, 2023.
The Chairman of the meeting, Prof. Taiwo Asaolu, Vice Chancellor, University of Ilesa who was ably represented by Dr. Posi Aduroja informed the gathering of the development going on in the University campus particularly in the areas of infrastructure and admission processes.
The representatives of the clubs and societies were equally briefed on the processes of allocation of seats, canopies and putting greeting messages in the festival's magazine.
The meeting which nearly took the form of a town-hall meeting was dominated by discussions on Ijesaland development as many speakers showered encomiums on the likes of Chief Akinwande, Akinola Sawe, Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi and others.
The Prof. Taiwo Asaolu, Vice Chancellor and Chief Mrs Hannah Bolanle Ojo, yeyerise of ijesaland were honored.
Dignitaries included Chief Akin Obi, Obala of Itagunmodi.
