Fmr. MHR Launches New Phase of Employment Scheme.... Integrates Trainees in CCTV, Solar Inverter, Soap Production and More

In a renewed effort to empower constituents and foster self-reliance among youth and women, Hon. Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni, former House of Representatives that represented Ijesa South Federal Constituency at 9th Assembly (2019 to 2024), has officially integrated another batch of trainees for his widely commended Empowerment Scheme. The new phase of the initiative features intensive training in CCTV installation, solar inverter technology, paint production, and soap making—skills strategically chosen for their relevance in today's growing entrepreneurial and tech-driven economy.

The training program, which commenced today, 1st of July, 2025  is completely free of charge, a gesture that underscores Hon. Ayeni's unwavering commitment to human capital development in his constituency.

While addressing the newly enrolled participants, Hon. L B. Ayeni encouraged them to take the training seriously and utilize the opportunity to build sustainable careers or businesses. He emphasized the importance of discipline, dedication, and determination, noting that the empowerment program is designed not only to transfer technical skills but also to instill the values of hard work and innovation.

The initiative has already trained and empowered hundreds of individuals in previous cycles, many of whom have gone on to establish their own businesses or secure employment in their fields of training. With the addition of more technical and industrial skill areas in this phase, the program continues to expand its impact across diverse sectors.

Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity and pledged to commit themselves wholeheartedly to the training. The atmosphere at the training centers was one of enthusiasm and optimism, with facilitators on ground to provide hands-on, practical sessions and mentorship throughout the duration of the program.

As unemployment and underemployment continue to challenge many communities, Hon. Ayeni’s proactive and practical approach to constituency development stands as a model for inclusive and sustainable empowerment. The program not only uplifts individuals but also contributes to the broader socio-economic development of the region.

This latest batch of trainees represents yet another milestone  in Hon. Ayeni’s mission to create a skilled, enterprising, and future-ready population—one initiative at a time.
