Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi, fnim,fimc,fnitd,fcrim is the Asiwaju of Ijesaland. He was born about 70 years ago, to the Glory of God, to a renowned family in Ilesa, Ijesaland. He is of Anglican Communion.
He was installed as Asiwaju of Ijesaland by our highly revered late Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II, CFR, LLD on the 22nd October, 2016. Asiwaju of Ijesaland is a collosus in Ijesaland and he ensured a renewed paradigm shift in positive developments and growths of Ijesaland.
He is a great mobiliser and matched with financial integrity. A great philanthropist, humane and urbane.
Among his trajectories in Ijesaland are as follows:
First: He led a team of Ijesa sons and daughters to restore electricity back to Ijesaland after imbroglio between IBEDC and Ijesa Youths.
Second: He organized unity and peace meeting among traditional rulers and communities in Ijesaland in March and November, 2019.
Third: He established Ijesa Mineral Resources Development Forum in May, 2020 to encourage good mining practices and initiated the formation of Ijesaland Independent Development Forum in August, 2024 to enthrone good governance in Ijesaland.
Four: Asiwaju of Ijesaland; Yinka Fasuyi facilitated the construction of Ultra Modern Owa Palace on the 26th, December, 2020 and Ijesa Geriatric Centre in March, 2022 with Ijesa sons and daughters. He equally, championed the *upgrading of Ilesa College of Education to University of Ilesa*.
Five: Asiwaju of Ijesaland is the *Executive Chair* of Ijesaland Community Assembly. *This established Assembly serves as a multi purpose vehicle* to drive development efforts/agenda in Ijesaland.
Six: He recently launched, Ijesa Development Fund (IDF); a creative development to serve Ijesaland for quantum leap in growth, development and good governance.
