The gubernatorial aspiration of the former Commissioner of Finance in Osun State in the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly called AMBO, got a boost on Monday as leaders and members of the party threw weights behind his candidature in Ejigbo Local Government Area.
This is even as Oyebamiji reaffirmed readiness to run all inclusive and participatory governance if elected.
Oyebamiji had earlier toured over 20 local governments across the state to familiarize with party members over his aspiration to fly the APC flag in the 2026 poll.
Speaking intermittently, former members of House of Representatives Ede North/Ede South/Ejigbo/Egbedore federal constituency, Hon. Ismail Kunle, Hon Bade Falade and APC Chairman in Ejigbo, Hon. Lateef Adegoke reassured full support for Oyebamiji's candidature.
According to Hon. Falade, Oyebamiji is the most competent, capable and suitable aspirant for the party to wrestle power from the incumbent government.
"Our party is full of quality people and experienced politicians and in the forthcoming governorship election. But Oyebamiji remains the most qualified, competent and experienced aspirant that has everything it takes to lead our party to victory. He has the wherewithal to become the Governor of our dear state and as you can see, he's the popular choice.
"I want to use this opportunity to appeal to our people to support Oyebamiji. He is experienced, tested and trusted", Falade stated.
In his remarks, Oyebamiji expressed profound gratitude to the leadership and members of the party for coming out in large numbers to receive him, describing it as an attestation of love for him and his aspiration.
He reiterated his readiness to carry everyone along and work in unity if given opportunity to serve the state saying, "we will run all inclusive and participatory governance if elected."
"As you can see, all the aspirants are members of a united family. We are one big family and we are going to work together in unity. I want to assure our people that if I am elected Governor, I will run all inclusive and participatory governance where everyone will be carried along in the governance of our dear state. As we all know, the process of governance is a complex thing that requires everyone and we are going to carry everyone along in administering the affairs of the state
"Our governance philosophy is in tune with the definition of democracy which is the government of the people, by the people and for the people", Oyebamiji added
