This landmark milestone in my life transcended personal jubilation; it became a collective festival of thanksgiving, gratitude, heritage, and humanity. This remarkable act stands as an unprecedented milestone in the annals of Ijesaland, symbolizing the enduring bond that connects every Ijesa heart, irrespective of geography or generation. That our esteemed diaspora community devoted a day out of the nine-day celebration to honour me was not merely a gesture of affection, it was a profound declaration of solidarity, respect, and collective identity. It reaffirmed the truth that Ijesaland’s greatness lies not only in its history, but in the hearts of her people wherever they may be found.
