MTN, foremost telecommunications operator at the forefront of technological and digital business in Nigeria and Africa at large has proposed a partnership with the planning committee for the Iwude Ijesa and the Ijesa Unity Carnival.
At a meeting aimed to explore collaboration opportunities, with MTN looking to support the annual celebration of unity on Wednesday in the Chairman's office at the Iwude Ijesa Secretariat, Oke-emese palace square, Ilesa, Osun State, a high-powered delegation from MTN met with the Iwude Ijesa Marketing subcommittee headed by Alagba Wale Idowu to discuss ways to enhance the 2025 edition of the festival.
Details of the proposed partnership were not disclosed, but it's expected to boost the event's success.
The annual Iwude Ijesa festival comes up on Saturday, 20th December, 2025 while the grand reception tagged Ijesa Unity Carnival that is billed to showcase over eighty (80) clubs and associations (legbelegbes) holds on Sunday the 21st at the Ilesa Grammar School Sports arena commencing from 12noon.
The 2025 edition will mark the maiden participation of Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland.
