The inaugural Owa Ajimoko III Annual Beauty Pageant, a highlight of the upcoming Iwude Ijesa Festival, will take place on Friday, 19 December 2025 at the Owa Ajimoko Palace in Ilesa.
Prize structure: The winner will receive ₦1 million, the first runner‑up ₦350 000, and the second runner‑up ₦150 000. All contestants will also be given consolation prizes.
Eligibility: Undergraduate female students of Ijesa origin enrolled in universities, polytechnics or colleges of education—whether in Nigeria or abroad—may register. Applicants must present a valid school ID and proof of Ijesa heritage.
Support requested: The palace urges parents and guardians of Ijesa students studying overseas to assist with travel and logistics so participants can attend. It also invites well‑meaning individuals, especially members of the Ijesa diaspora, to donate gifts or souvenirs as additional consolation prizes to encourage future excellence.
The pageant is being organized by the Iwude Ijesa Planning Committee in collaboration with traditional rulers and chiefs across Ijesaland, with the aim of promoting academic achievement, cultural heritage and unity among the Ijesa people.
