Ilesa Local Government Approves Payment of 10 Months’ Salary Arrears for Casual Workers

The Ilesa Local Government Council, under the leadership of its Executive Chairman, Hon. Lanre Balogun, has approved the payment of 10 months’ outstanding salary arrears owed to casual workers in the council.

The approval, which comes as a major relief to the affected workers, is part of the administration’s efforts to address welfare concerns and improve staff morale within the local government system.

According to sources within the council, the decision reflects Hon. Balogun’s commitment to fairness, accountability, and the well-being of workers, particularly those at the grassroots level who have been impacted by delayed payments.

The Council Chairman also approved payment of outstanding salary arrears of O'clean Marshalls.

Beneficiaries of the approval have expressed appreciation to the council leadership, describing the move as timely and humane amid prevailing economic challenges.

Further details on the payment schedule are expected to be communicated to the affected workers in due course.
