Ongoing Akinlalu Police Post: Community leaders shower encomiums on Oyebamiji for fulfilling promise ....No life will be lost unjustly under my watch when elected Governor - APC guber candidate, Bola Oyebamiji assures residents

The community leaders and indigenes of Akinlalu town in Ife-North local government area of Osun State on Monday showered encomiums on the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) for constructing ultramodern police post in the town.

The residents of the ancient town, who could not hide their feelings on the development brought to their town, described Oyebamiji's gesture as a "promise made; promise kept."

This is even as Oyebamiji assured that if elected Governor of Osun State, utmost prioritize would be given to the security sector in order to guarantee the security and protection of lives and property of the citizens, noting that "no life will be lost unjustly under my watch."

Recall that Akinlalu town was few months ago thrown into mourning as Osun Amotekun's corps allegedly invaded the town, an incident that claimed many lives.

Sequel to the ugly incident, Oyebamiji, the then gubernatorial aspirant of the APC, during a commiseratory visit to the family of the victims and the people of the town, promised to construct a state-of-the-art police post to strengthen the security apparatus in the community, hence the construction of the ongoing police post in Akinlalu.

Fielding questions from journalists shortly after the inspection tour of the ongoing police post facility, Ekarun of Akinlalu, Chief Olujide Orisatoye who spoke on behalf of the monarch of the town, extolled Oyebamiji for fulfilling his promise.

Chief Orisatoye noted that the fulfillment of the promise has further testified to the fact that Oyebamiji "is a man of his words who walks his talks"

He commended the quality of the ongoing police post project, attesting that the building structure follows the community desired police post template given to the contractor handling the construction.

"We must commend Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji for fulfilling his promise to construct a police post. We were all there when he promised to construct a police post and he started the construction immediately. For us,  that is a promise made, promise kept. We are grateful to him. As you can see, this building has reached roofing level now and we hope that in few weeks to come, it will be completed.

"We appreciate him very much and we pray that God will crown his effort and lead him to victory come August 8th, 2026. I can assure you that since the commencement of this project, we have been experiencing peace and our people are now sleeping with their two eyes closed. We thank God for our incoming Governor: he has done what we didn't even expect could come from an individual outside Akinlalu. We never knew that the police post could be built by anyone, but today, we are having it. This police post has reached appreciable level and it is almost complete.

"On behalf of our revered Kabiyesi, I sincerely appreciate our incoming Governor - Oyebamiji- for this gesture. As you can see, the project is in compliance with our desired template given to the donor. The building structure follows the template given the donor. We thank God for the level it has reached and we are hopeful that in few weeks to come, the project will be done and delivered", he stated.

A resident of the town, Hon. Oyebamiji Elulani, expressed profound gratitude to Oyebamiji for being compassionate about the people's welfare and well-being.

Hon. Elulani, who described the ongoing police post as a product of promise fulfillment said the police post when completed will strengthen the security apparatus in the town and its environs.

"I heartily appreciate Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji for keeping to his promise. No doubt, the completion of this project will contribute immensely to the security and protection of lives and property of the community. We thank God this has come to pass. We thank God that everything has come to normal since the beginning of this police post", he stated.

Reacting to questions from journalists shortly after the inspection tour, Oyebamiji commended the people of the town for their undiluted cooperation that has culminated into the successful commencement and development of the project.

He expressed commitment to security and welfare of the people if elected Governor, explaining that no life will be unjustly taken under his governorship when he emerges Governor.

Oyebamiji, represented by the former Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Timothy Owoeye, who led other leaders and members of the APC to Akinlalu, said the project would be completed and delivered at most in two months time.

"We are here to inspect the ongoing police post project in Akinlalu. Two months ago, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji popularly called AMBO who was then governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, came to commiserate with the people of Akinlalu over the ugly incident that claimed many lives in this town. When he was here, he made a promise to construct a police post in Akinlalu community, and as you can see, the promise has been kept - promise-made-promise kept: that is what Oyebamiji is known for.

"What Oyebamiji did signifies that he is a man of honour, man of integrity, man of his words. Once he makes promise, he fulfils it. Since the primary function of a government is to protect lives and property of the citizens, putting up this edifice here will scale up the protection of lives and property of the people of this community. I want to believe, the purpose of this is to guide against the recurrent of the past ugly incident. I can assure you that in the next two months, the project is going to be completed for the use of the people of the community", he added.
