KAKAKIOODUA Online Media has released photographs from the 80th birthday celebration of renowned All Progressives Congress (APC) leader in Ijesaland, Sir Kunle Odeyemi.
The activities marking the octogenarian’s milestone birthday began on Thursday with a Holy Communion and birthday service held at his residence. The service was officiated by clergymen from St. John’s Cathedral, Iloro, Ilesa, setting a solemn and reflective tone for the celebration.
The events continued on Friday with a thanksgiving service at St. John’s Cathedral Church, Iloro, Ilesa, followed by a colourful reception at Zenabab Half Moon Holiday Resorts, Ilo-Ajegunle, Ilesa, where family members, friends, political associates and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the elder statesman.
Several prominent personalities from across Osun State and beyond attended the celebrations. Among them was the APC governorship candidate in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), who was present at the reception. Former Deputy Governor of Osun State and APC chieftain, Senator Christopher Iyioola Omisore and Mr. Benedict Alabi, also attended the thanksgiving service.
Other dignitaries at the event included Chief Akinwande Akinola, leader of the Ijesa Elites Forum; His Royal Majesty, Oba Engr. Olufemi Agunsoye, the Elegboro of Ijebujesa; His Royal Majesty, Oba Akeem Ogungbangbe, the Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa; Osun State APC Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal; Former Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye; Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye, Executive Director, Project Implementation, Federal Ministry of Housing Projects Monitoring; Hon. Ajibola Famurewa; Hon. L. Babatunde Ayeni; Hon. Sanya Omirin; Cmrd. Amitolu Shitu; Hon. Richard Tinubu
Sir Kunle Odeyemi, widely regarded as a pillar of progressive politics in Ijesaland, was celebrated for his years of service, leadership and contributions to community development.
