According to Jimoh, the police division received information about the incident around 7:50 p.m. from a community leader, High Chief Ajewole Clement of New Town, Itaogbolu. The report indicated that about six armed men stormed the monarch’s residence, forcefully abducted him from his compound, and fled the scene.
