Osun APC Felicitates KAKAKIOODUA Publisher Lasore at 64, Describes Him as Steadfast

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Mr. Oladimeji Akinwale Lasore on his 64th birthday, describing him as a steadfast, loyal, and resourceful figure in the political landscape of the state and beyond.

In a press statement signed by Mogaji Kola Olabisi, the Osun State APC Director of Media and Information, the party lauded Lasore’s contributions to political communication and community development, particularly through his media platform, KAKAKIOODUA Online Media Agency.

Born on February 22, 1962, in Ilesa, Osun State, Lasore hails from the distinguished Runsoke family lineage and is a direct descendant of the Ogboni of Ilesa. The APC noted that he has carved a niche for himself as an agenda setter in Ijesaland and Osun State through the establishment of KAKAKIOODUA, a platform renowned for its rich local content and influence on community discourse.

According to the statement, Lasore is the son of the late Chief T.A. Lasore, a respected educationist and sports enthusiast in Ijesaland, who was the immediate past Lemodu of Iperindo and the first President of the Ijesa Sports Club. His mother, Dame Caroline Folorunso Lasore (KSJ), of the Eso family of K.70, Anaye, Ilesa, is a retired teacher.

Lasore began his education at St. Peter’s Anglican School, Ibokun, before proceeding to Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo, and later Ilesa Grammar School, Ilesa. He attended the former Oyo State College of Arts and Science (OSCAS), Ile-Ife, and graduated in 1985 from the University of Ife—now Obafemi Awolowo University—with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies.

During his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in Plateau State, he served as a proofreader at Plateau Publishing Corporation, publishers of The Standard Newspaper, and also taught at Our Ladies of Apostles (OLA), Akwanga.

Widely travelled, Lasore has lived in several African and European capitals, including Spain, Libya, Mauritania, Mali, Guinea, and Sierra Leone, where he taught English Language in schools and as a private tutor.

He returned to Nigeria in 2009 and settled in Ilesa, where he ventured into the new media space by founding KAKAKIOODUA Online Media Agency. The platform, where he serves as an influencer, media consultant, and blogger, has grown significantly, boasting nearly 7,000 publications and over five million readers.

The APC also highlighted his involvement in party activities, noting that his growing influence in digital media earned him roles within the party’s Media and Digital Communication Directorate at both the state and national levels.

In November 2020, he was appointed Special Assistant on Project Monitoring at the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) by former Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola.

Beyond media and public service, Lasore is described as having a strong passion for animal husbandry, particularly poultry farming.

He is married to Lucy, a native of Conakry, Republic of Guinea, and the marriage is blessed with two children.

The Osun APC wished him many more years of impactful service and continued contributions to the development of Osun State and beyond.
