Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijesa South Federal Constituency have paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Hon. Ezekiel Akinola Awoniyi, a former member of the Osun State House of Assembly, who recently passed away.
The APC delegation visited the bereaved family to commiserate with them over the death of the former legislator and to honour his contributions to the political development of Ijesaland.
Late Hon. Awoniyi represented the Ilesa West State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly between 1999 and 2003. He was also described as a committed member of the APC in Ijesaland who remained active in the party throughout his lifetime.
The condolence delegation was led by Hon. Femi Kujembola and comprised prominent APC leaders and stakeholders, including Hon. Folarin Fafowora, Hon. Idowu Falade, Hon. Mrs. Olori Olusola Agbadaoje, Hon. Sayo Abimbola, Chief Gboyega Ajeleti, Hon. Ojo Niyi, Hon. Ademola Oladimeji, Alhaji Tajudeen Agbeti and Ogbeni Oladimeji Lasore.
The leaders expressed their condolences to the family, acknowledging the late Awoniyi’s service to his constituency, Ijesaland and the political community.
They prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul and for God to grant the family, friends, political associates and the entire Ijesaland community the strength to bear the loss.
The visit underscored the enduring respect for the late former lawmaker and his contributions to public service and partisan politics in Osun State.
