Prince Abiodun Lufadeju, through his Workteck Educational Services, has launched a new Employment Orientation and Skills Acquisition Campaign aimed at promoting the importance of practical and marketable skills among young people preparing for the world of work.
The campaign, which carries the central message that “Skills Acquisition is an Imperative for the World of Work,” is being promoted through an innovative musical project titled “Mr. Workteck in the City.”
The audio teaser is part of “Workspiration Vol. 1,” a new project conceived by Lufadeju as an educational and inspirational tool to encourage young people to combine formal education with the acquisition of practical, productive and income-generating skills.
According to the promoters of the initiative, the campaign seeks to take the conversation about youth employment beyond the conventional classroom setting by employing music as a promotional and educational medium to reach students, young people and members of the wider community.
Music as a Tool for Employment Education
The song, “Mr. Workteck in the City,” is designed to promote awareness of the growing importance of skills acquisition in a rapidly changing world of work.
Through its message, the campaign encourages young people to understand that while academic qualifications remain important, the ability to acquire practical skills, create value, solve problems and contribute meaningfully to society is equally essential.
With youth unemployment remaining a major challenge confronting communities across Nigeria, the initiative is expected to complement efforts aimed at preparing young people for employment, entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
Lufadeju's campaign emphasises that skills acquisition should become an integral part of the preparation of young people for the future.
The initiative promotes the development of capacities that can enable young people to earn a livelihood, become productive, create opportunities and respond to the realities of an increasingly competitive employment environment.
Beyond Certificates
A major message of the campaign is that a certificate alone may not always be sufficient to guarantee success in the modern world of work.
The campaign therefore calls attention to the importance of developing the capacity to do, create, innovate and solve problems.
Through “Mr. Workteck in the City,” Prince Lufadeju seeks to use the universal appeal of music to communicate this message in a simple, memorable and engaging manner.
The project is expected to serve as a promotional tool in schools and communities, helping to inspire conversations around career preparation, vocational education, entrepreneurship and practical skills development.
The initiative also aligns with the growing need for young people to prepare themselves not only to seek available jobs but also to develop the capacity to create value and explore opportunities for self-reliance.
Campaign Begins With Audio Teaser
The release of the audio teaser marks the beginning of the broader Employment Orientation and Skills Acquisition Campaign.
The promoters said more activities and engagements are expected as the campaign takes its message to schools and communities.
For Prince Abiodun Lufadeju and Workteck Educational Services, the message remains clear and direct:
SKILLS ACQUISITION IS AN IMPERATIVE FOR OUR YOUTH.
With music serving as the promotional vehicle, “Mr. Workteck in the City” is set to open a new channel for engaging young Nigerians on the importance of preparing beyond the classroom for employment, entrepreneurship and a productive future.
