His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Sir Jacob Adetayo Haastrup, PhD, Olumobi of Imobi Ijesa Kingdom, Osun State, has congratulated his brother, long-time friend and illustrious son of Imobi-Iwara Ijesa, Mr. Mabel Enitan, on his appointment as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
Oba Haastrup, while congratulating Enitan on the appointment, described him as a true son of Imobi-Iwara Ijesa whose career in the Nigerian public service has been marked by honesty, forthrightness, integrity and the values of an Omoluwabi.
The Olumobi, who spoke in a congratulatory message, recalled that he had closely followed Enitan's career progression over the years, particularly his service as Permanent Secretary in various Federal ministries, including Aviation, Humanitarian Affairs and Education, among others.
According to the monarch, Enitan's progression through these critical positions and his eventual appointment as Head of the Civil Service of the Federation demonstrated a distinguished career in public service, with no blemish recorded throughout his years of service.
Oba Haastrup prayed for the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, stressing that as his royal father from his ancestral origin, he would continue to pray for his success and well-being in the discharge of his new responsibilities.
The Olumobi also urged Enitan not to forget his roots, home and the people of Imobi-Iwara Ijesa, as well as the larger Ijesaland, noting that his appointment represents a significant achievement for his community and the entire Ijesa people.
He expressed gratitude to Almighty God for the appointment and commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Enitan, describing the development as a recognition of the career and experience of the most senior Permanent Secretary.
The monarch further called on the people of Imobi-Iwara Ijesa to look forward to welcoming their illustrious son home once he settles into his new national assignment.
He said the community is already looking forward to receiving Enitan back to his father's ancestral home and celebrating his achievement as one of the distinguished sons of Imobi-Iwara Ijesa.
