Saturday the 29th of July, 2017 was a memorable day in the family of Ven. & Chief (Mrs.) N. B. Ajakaiye of Ajakaiye lane, Imo, Ilesa as Family friends and well wishers joined the the septuagenarian to celebrate his 90th birthday.
Ven. N. B. Ajakaiye was the Vice Principal of Hope Grammar School under Sen. Mojisoluwa Akinfehinwa. He was also the Vice Principal of Ijebu-Jesa Grammar School under the principalship of the late Mr. S. A. Adewole. In 1976 he was transferred to Iwoye-Ijesa to found the Iwoye-Ijesa Grammar School thus becoming the founding principal. On June 30, 1984 he retired from teaching profession.
While he was still the principal of Iwoye-Ijesa Grammar School, he had a short course at Immanuel College of Theology, Ibadan. On June 24, 1979, he was ordained into the Diaconate and posted to St. James' Church, IMO, Ilesa. On June 29 1980 he was made s priest after passing the priesthood examination. He was instrumental for the building of the present day St. James' Anglican Church, Imo, Ilesa. Suffice to say that the land being occupied by the Church was formally occupied by Infectious Diseases Hospital (I. D. H).
Ven. N. B. Ajakaiye is a member of Iloro Youth Christian Society one of the leading societies of the Cathedral of Saint John, Iloro, Ilesa.
Ven. M. K. Ajakaiye got married to Princess M. K. Ifaturoti on Thursday May 4, 1961. The union is blessed with loving children who are doing well in their different fields.
