AARE ONA KAKANFO OF YORUBALAND, AARE GANI ADAMS VISITS GBOYEGA OYETOLA SAYS YORUBA UNITY IS SACROSANCT: OYETOLA SAYS THE VISIT IS SYMBOLICALLY SIGNIFICANT






Thursday  the 16th of August, 2018, the Aare On a Kakanfo of the modern yorubaland was on a congralatory cum solidarity visit to the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the forthcoming September 22 governorship election in Osun state.

He eulogized Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola who he referred to as an astute and uncommon politician who has great commitment and believe in the unity and progress of the Yoruba race. He made it known that Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola is not a stranger to him and that the visit was a stopover visit to an old friend.

Aare Gani Adams reiterated his belief in the fact that only God gives power to people. He therefore implored Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola not to forget the Yoruba people in general if and when he becomes the governor of Osun state.

According to a statement made available to Newsmen by the Gboyega Oyetola Campaign Organisation which was signed by it’s Spokesperson Dayo Fasola, ‘Gani Adams disclosed that he is interested in the September 22 governorship election because Yoruba interest is involved.’

Adams who was in town to commemorate the 2018 Osun Osogbo festival described the incumbent governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola and Gboyega Oyetola as gentlemen who he believes would play by the rule

promised  to follow the elections keenly ‘ from the sideline, because of the Yoruba interest.’

He warned that the Yoruba agenda must not be politicized under any guise and for whatever reason.

Responding, Oyetola expressed gratitude to Adams for the visit.

He corroborated the strategic position of Osun in Yorubaland, saying values for which Yoruba are known must not be allowed to die.

He promised to use his office when he becomes the governor to promote culture and tradition of the race.

Oyetola maintained that he would ensure that the progress recorded by the Rauf Aregbesola in many sectors of the economy  does not suffer  a set back,adding that he would  break new grounds that would be the pride of the Yoruba.
