Owode Igangan (Atakumosa East) and Kajola (Atakumosa West) Communities Now Enjoy Motorized Boreholes Courtesy of Ajibola Famurewa

Owode Igangan Community in Atakumosa East Central Local Government and Kajola community along Ilesa-Osogbo road of Osun State, before the intervention of Hon. Ajibola Famurewa's Water Initiatives, households obtain their drinking water from private wells, streams, ponds and few Hand Pump Water boreholes across the communities as their source of water for consumption and domestic use. Because of the large population of the community served by the limited number of water resources, ample time and money were spent by members of the communities to fetch water for their domestic use.

The Honourable representing Ijesa South Federal Constituency in the outgoing 8th National Assembly has it in mind that elderly people and young children, are vulnerable to waterborne diseases, so, he chose the 2019 Children's Day celebration to handover the boreholes to the communities. He was represented by Mr. Abolade Ajakaiye at the ceremony witnessed by community heads, Iyalojas, children and APC loyalists.

The construction of these Motorized Boreholes in these Communities has greatly reduced the amount as well as the time spent fetching water for domestic purposes and brought about significant increase in water availability within the communities.
