The immidiate past Osun Assembly Speaker, Hon. Najeem Salm has described the emergence of Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye as around peg in a round hole. He made tge remark on a Yoruba radio programme titled ,"Oro Oselu", aired by Rave FM on Monday, July ,1st, 2019.
In his response to a question from the presenter of the radio program, Olubukola Omoboriowo, the newly installed Oluomo of Ejigbo said, "Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye is more than qualified as the 5th Speaker of the 7th Osun Assembly because he started as a Minority Leader to become Majority Leader before assuming the position of Osun Assembly Speaker.
" He is familiar with the business of the House. In the State of Osun, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye remains the longest serving legislator with unquantifiable experience. He has all the possible prerequisites. He received training from me and Hon. Adejare Bello"
