Conference of Speakers of the Southwest legislatures on Friday 6th of September, 2019, assembled in Lagos to brainstorm on issues confronting the region.
The Speakers who came from Southwest States including Lagos, Ondo, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti and Ogun came together to deliberate on Southwest economic and socio-political integration for progress, particularly on the problems confronting the region. Also present were some of the principal officers of the respective States Assemblies and their clerks.
The Speakers were hosted by Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, who doubles as the Chairman of Conference of Speakers of Nigeria. The venue of the conference was at the Lagos State House of Assembly Complex, Alausa, Ikeja.
The Forum later paid a courtesy visit to Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu after the conference.
