Iwude-Ijesa 2019 Is Going to be Different Says Kujembola

All the Local Government and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAS) in ijesaland  have commended the Iwude Ijesa Planning Committee for the early mobilization of all stakeholders to this year’s edition of the annual cultural festival, so that it will be well attended by sons and daughters of the land at home and in diaspora.

The chairman , Atakumosa East Local Government, Hon. Femi Kujembola gave the commendation when the planning committee led by the vice chaiman, chief Afolabi Igbaroola went to brief the LGA and LCDAS chairmen on activities mapped out for the festival of unity.

Hon. Kujembola who described the initiative as highly effective based on the level of awareness it has created across the length and breadth of Ijesaland in the last few days encouraged the members to intensity efforts to make the planning process all inclusive by coopting many people from all clans of Ijesaland.

According to him people from all towns in the land should be involved right from the planning stages, assuring the committee of their usual financial and physical  support to ensure that the common goal of re-strengthening the love bond within Ijesaland is achieved through the festival.

Earlier, the vice chaiman, Iwude planning committee, chief Afolabi Igbaroola hinted that new activities are being Incorporated in the program to put more life  in this year’s edition, especially, to entertain participants while the Paramount ruler of Ijesaland, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran carries out his statutory  function  of  visiting some of  his eminent chiefs in their chieftaincy houses  to discuss fostering peace and unity in the land among other things.

Corroborating chief Igbaroola's submission, the Lorunyin of Ilesa said the Iwude will future some educational competition to promote learning among students across the lànd.

In a remark, the immediate past Director General of Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, Mr Wale Idowu stated that ijesa people in diaspora at a meeting in North Carolina showed interest in participating fully in the grand finale of the Iwude festival, the reason the local government chairmen should get more involved to give participants, the traditional rulers, in particular, a warm reception as the number one citizens of their various local government areas.

Iwude – Ijesa Planning Committee Representatives are Chief Afolabi Igbaroola (Vice Chairman), Chief Ayo Agbede (Lorunyinf Ilesa), Prince Isaac Haastrup, Mr Wale Idowu, Mr Dimeji Lasore, Mr Akin Ajayi – Obe, Comrade Sunday Owoborode (Ijesaouth Forum's President), Mrs Oluwabunmi Ogunniyi (Administrative secretary) and Mr Oluwatobiloba  Omirin (Office Assistant)

Local Government Chairmen were represented by Prince Femi Kujembola (Chairman -   Atakunmosa East Local  Government, Iperindo and Hon. Busuyi Makanjuola ( Chairman Atakunmosa East Central  LCDA Iwara.
