The Chairman of Ilesa East Local Government, Hon. Otunba Akeem Adesoji Olowoopejobori has sent a message to felicitate with Christians throughout his constituency, the State, the country and the whole world as Christians celebrate Easter Sunday, also called Resurrection Sunday, today Sunday 12th April 2020, to mark the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, three days after his crucifixion and burial.
In the message seen by us at KakakiOodua Media office, Olowoopejobori charged Nigerians to remain strong and resilient in spite of the prevailing global COVID-19 pandemic.
He appreciates the bonds which the people of Ilesa East demonstrated at this time of stay-at-home order from the State of Osun government which has made it apparent to us that we need other people and other people need us too.
In his message titled "Message of Hope" Otunba Olowoopejobori mentioned that Easter is a time that reminds all of us that we need not be afraid in the face of all the challenges and suffering of life but to live in such a way that we remain actively committed to compassion, love, and life.
"My deepest thanks go to the State of Osun Governor, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola for his proactiveness at handling the scourge and all health workers, volunteers in the midst of this crisis" He said.
Olowoopejobori also expressed his immense gratitude towards all security operatives and to all those who are contributing to bringing palliatives to doorsteps of the vulnerables citizens to cushion the effect of the Stay-At-Home directive as our communities face this enormous challenge.
