Ilesa East Residents Express Feelings of Gratitude at Owoeye's Largesse to Cushion the Effect of the Stay-at-home Order





Gratitude and appreciation are important in community life and in community building because they bring us into positive and direct relationship with ourselves and others.


The Speaker of the State of Osun House of Assembly yesterday, commenced the distribution of palliatives that include bags of rice, beans and Semolina to communities of Ilesa East and Ilesa North East Local Councils.



Owoeye said the move is in a bid to help the needy cushion the effect of the lockdown and to sensitize them on the dangers posed by COVID-19.


The distribution continued today with a visit by his Chief of Staff, Otunba Olasunkanmi Obisesan to the Ogburu Meeting Hall of Ilesa East Chapter of Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle Riders And Owners Association (ACOMORAN) and this attracted some residents of the community who seized the occasion to shower encomiums on the Osun Speaker, praising and praying for him.

Also on the social media there words of appreciation from different commentators on posts on the distribution of the palliatives.
