OSUN COVID-19 LOCKDOWN DAY 8: Council Chairman, Parliamentarians Set to Distribute Palliatives As State Government Also Prepares

The Chairman of Ilesa EastLocal Government, Hon. Otunba Akeem Adesoji Olowoopejobori and the parliamentarians consisting of the the Leader of Parliament, Hon. Adeoye  Olusola a.k.a California and four other councillors representing different wards of the local government are  set to distribute palliatives to the people as they appreciate the people for their compliance to the stay-at-home directive of the state government in her efforts to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the state.

The Chairman, while addressing our correspondent also announced that the State government is also set to begin the distribution of food and relief materials to residents of the state as part of efforts to cushion the effects of the state-wide lockdown.


Olowoopejobori noted that plans are already in place to ensure that the palliative measures reach people across the local government as the 96 polling units existing in the consistency will be taken into consideration to allow a reasonable reach to all citizens of the local government as he explained that the distribution of the food items to the residents is in furtherance of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola's commitment to the welfare and well-being of the citizenry.

He maintained that the administration would leave no stone unturned to ameliorate whatever the hardship people may face due to te lockdown, adding that every household would be taken care of particularly the vulnerable ones in the course of the distribution exercise.
