Southwestern States Set to Enforce Compulsory Wearing of Nose/Mouth Masks: Read what Akeredolu is doing





In furtherance of his efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in Ondo State, Governor Arakunrin
Rotimi Akeredolu ,SAN, has presented nose masks for the use of market women in the state.

This is in line with the Southwest Governors’ resolve to mandate the use of nose masks for everyone coming out of their homes, effective from Friday 24th April, 2020.

The  bundles of locally produced nose masks were received from the Governor by the Iyaloja General of the state, Chief Mrs. Iwalola Adefemiwa and other market women, at the Government House, Alagbaka, Akure.

As previously communicated, all Southwestern States will be instituting mandatory wearing of face masks in the states. To ensure that Ondo State meets the expected demand for masks, the administration under Arakunrin Akeredolu has engaged the tailors union and mobilized them to commence mass production of masks for our citizens.
