House of Reps Member Empowers Constituents with 118 Vehicles, 200 Tricycles, 800 Sewing machines etc





Hon. Dr. Zainab Gimba (APC) Member Representing Bama, Ngala, Kala-Balge Federal Constituency today flags off her Constituency Empowerment Schemes in Maiduguri in the presence of H.E Prof BG Umara Zulum min, FNSE, the Executive Governor of Borno, Deputy Governor, APC State Chairman, National and State Assembly Members, Royal fathers, Commissioners and other dignitaries.


While flagging off the Distribution of the empowerment programme at the Multi Purpose Hall of the Governemnts House Maiduguri, Governor Zulum commended the House of Representatives Member representing Bama, Ngala and Kala Balge Federal Constituency, Dr. Zainab Gimba for taking such a bold step to come to the aid of her Constituency people at this monumental period when people lost their means of livelihoods

Empowerment tools distributed includes; 118 vehicles and 200 tricles (Keke Napep) aimed to empower transporters, 800 Sewing machines to empower tailors and fashion designers, 400 grinding machines to empower local restaurant owners, and 492 water pumps to empower irrigation farmers. At the Grand occasion also cheque of Millions of Naira was also presented to four different families that lost their loved ones during her electioneering campaigns. She enjoined the beneficiaries to judiciously make the use of the items given to them to create more jobs and means of livelyhoods to the other constituents.



Dr. Gimba disclosed that apart from the 118 vehicles, 800 sewing machines, 492 water pumps, 200 tricycles, 450 grinding machines so far 79 displaced persons have benefitted from a token cash gift ranging from N100,000-N200,000, 19 boreholes were drilled across the three LGAs, 3 graduates got employment and 115 jobs were created (vocational training ) for 115 IDPs including women and youths.

She explained also that as part of her humanitarian services, 2 deceased families with large family members were supported with N1 million each (N2 m), a family that the head was missing or kidnapped was supported with N500,000 while another deceased family was also assisted with N400,000.
