It has been confirmed that the federal government plan to construct a hydropower plant in Erin-ijesa, Oriade local Government of Osun state is at its take off stage.
The Director of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Mr. Issa Buba made this known when he led the members of the implementation committee on a visit to Erin-Ijesa, Olumirin Waterfall community, the site of the project.
The project is a move by the federal government to partner with some state governments and other stakeholders to develop hydropower plants that can generate electricity.
The Chairman of Oriade LG, Hon. Bunmi Obeisun assured the people of the community that Gov. Gboyega Oyetola would see to it that access road of community will be constructed to compliment the effort of the federal government.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr. Charles Akinola also assured the people of the community that the present All Progressives Congress administration under HE Gboyega Oyetola would support the project delivery.
