You're Looking For Cheap Popularity, Obeisun Replies Awoyemi a.k.a Nation


Hon. Bunmi Obeisun. Executive Chairman, Oriade local Government has faulted an Ikinyinwa in Obokun LG based politician, Mr. Awoyemi Olayinka Rapheal a.k.a Nation over alleged blackmail.



This was in response to some allegations against Hon. Wale Awe, All Progressives Congress APC, Oriade LG, Youth Leader, who was attacked at the burial ceremony of Hon. Sola Adewumi,s in-law in Ijebu-jesa on Saturday 12th September, 2020.


Awoyemi Olayinka was accused of hiring bloggers of thesource.com.ng and idealplusgist.com to blackmail Hon. Bunmi Obeisun in their publications.


Information filtering in revealed that Awoyemi Olayinka a stooge of one Mr. Akinwale Bimbo Lawanson, both based in Obokun LG and worked for Hon. Olajengbesi of the PDP in the last election, were at the burial ceremony and were uttering nauseating words against the leadership of the Oriade LG APC in the presence of Wale Awe, the Youth Leader.  


A source who was present at the event narrated that Awoyemi Olayinka attacked the Youth Leader when he was cautioned to stop destroying the party and its leadership on the WhatsApp platform and in public gathering.    


According to Wale Awe, the Youth Leader, he sustained hand injury when he was attacked by Awoyemi and some of lawanson's followers.


Hon. Bunmi Obeisun therefore described the reference to his person in the publications as a fabrication of lies, a way of looking for cheap popularity and clout.


The Council Boss explained to our correspondent that Leader Sola Adewumi, Leader Sammy Alake and himself mediated and appealed to the warring youth to sheath the sword and peace later returned and the party continued.


Obeisun promised to see to it that he might pursue the defamation of his character and the blackmail scheme in a law court.
