Minutes ago, the Osun Progressives, also known as TOP, a splinter group of the All Progressives Congress in Osun state loyal to the former Governor and presently, the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola led thugs to the Ogo Oluwa party Secretariat in Osogbo to disrupt the ongoing peaceful sitting of the Ward Congress Appeal Committee sent from Abuja.
Violence started when Lowo Adebiyi, Gbenga Akano, Kazeem Salami, Biyi Odunlade and Lani Baderinwa stormed the state APC office few minutes after midday with thugs and started pursuing away persons within the office complex especially everyone wearing the fez caps branded with the name of the state Governor, Gboyega Oyetola. People were seen scampering for safety and a party member, Nurudeen Ajetunmobi, aka Abalawa from Ward six of Osogbo local Government was matchete by the merciless thugs. He was seen soaked in his own blood and has since been rushed to a private hospital to attend to his failing health as a result of blood loss from the deep cut on his head.
It should be recalled that last Thursday, a press Conference was called by TOP to inform the public about a looming attack to be orchestrated and masterminded by political office holders under the Oyetola administration but the event of today has shown clearly that the press Conference was used as face covering and alibi by TOP to carry out today's attack.
