The Deputy Speaker of the Second Assembly of the State of Osun House of Assembly (June 1999 – June 2003) is dead.
The Chairman Ilesa East Chapter of All Progressives Congress, (APC), Hon. Akinola Fowowe made this known in a press release.
Baba Gbotoso as he was popularly called was a politician of note, in his early 80s, reportedly, died yesterday Sunday 19th September, 2021.
Recall that late Hon. Gbotosho Moses Oladipo was Deputy Speaker) State of Osun House of Assembly Second Assembly (June 1999 – June 2003) when Rt. Hon. Alabi Mojeed Olujinmi was the Speaker and Hon. Bello Rafiu Adejare was the Minority Leader while Hon. Hassan B. Olawuwo was the Majority Leader.
The Chairman of the party in Ilesa East, Hon. Fowowe a.k.a Arole confirmed the death, describing it as “sad and unfortunate" as he sympathise with the family he left behind and the Ijesa people in general.
