The Zonal leadership of the APC in Ijesaland says history will forever be kind to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for ensuring the realization of the dream of having a University in Ilesa.
The chairman of the group, Chief Kunle Odeyemi who is also the chairman, governing council of the Osun State college of Education made the observation in a statement signed by the the publicity secretary of Ijesa APC leadership, Barrister (Mrs) Dupe Ajayi Gbadebo.
According to Chief Odeyemi, the upgrade of Osun State college of education, Ilesa, to a University status has been a long time dream of the entire Ijesaland which had been overlooked by successive administrations in the state.
He praised Governor Oyetola for being a listening leader who keeps to his promises, a reflection of which was shown in the conversion of the college of education to a University.
Chief Odeyemi said the entire Ijesaland, the people and the traditional rulers under the leadership of Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, are grateful for the positive development.
He promised that the people will reciprocate the kind gesture at the appropriate time.
