Oyetola's Victory: Senator Omisore hails judgement.....enjoins INEC to perfectly correct likely BVAS-related hitches before general election.

 

The APC National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore, congratulated the immediate past of Osun State, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola on the feat of retrieving his gubernatorial mandate via the verdicts of the Osun 2022 Election petitions Tribunal which was delivered yesterday. 

In the message the former  Osun State Deputy Governor issued through his Media office he asserted that the National leadership of the party is vindicated based on the historical judgement which in the real sense shined quite a bright and revealing light to the electoral heists perpetrated by the PDP who has not shown any element of seriousness or disposition to offering governance to the good people of Osun or managing the affairs of the state for the past two months the declared candidate have been at the helms.

In his words, "Osun can NOT afford to have in place as pilot of her affairs someone whose both his body language and activities over the years have shown to be a puppet and the past two months quite confirmed our fears of being in a ship meant for storming sailing and eventual sinking if the Judiciary via the tribunal does not intervene by correctly adjudicating on the last polls marred by the new technological innovation, by commission and omission, of BVAS and perhaps poor management of the machines and the processing of the data.

"Personally, I'm more perplexed of the human factor and the technical excuses by INEC which undermined the last electoral procedure on July 16th,2022 and this has raised quite fundamental fears on the reliability and effectiveness of the technological system. I implore the electoral umpire, INEC, their officials and agents to perfect the lapses before the general election next month for electorates to have strong beliefs in their activities and results of the polls."

He however congratulated the *APC candidate, Governor Oyetola,* on the deserving victory as he emphasized that APC was clearly the party to beat in the last election and the people of the state love the party and can not afford to deny him second term which was shown by the euphoria that rented everywhere in the state when the Governor was declared lawful winner of the election by the tribunal yesterday.
