Devastating Aftermath of Windy Storm: Ijesa Leaders Make Sympathy Visit to Ilare-ijesa






This 5th day of February, 2023 marked another leap in the annals of Ijesa nation state. The report goes thus:


Ilare-Ijesa in Obokun Local Government of Ijesaland witnessed a devastating wind storm that left in its trail anguish of homelessness, blown roof and collapse of the town's multimillion Naira  Community CIVIC Centre started nearly three years ago.


Touched by the agony of the inhabitants of the town, the Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Oloye Yinka Fasuyi mobilized a few Ijesa patriots on a sympathy visit to the town.


Kabiyesi, Owalare of Ilare-ijesa, Oba Adejoro Otebolaku was on hand receive the visitors.

The monarch appreciated God for mitigating the effect of the calamity as incredibly no life was lost.

Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi conveyed the sympathy message of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran 11 and the entire Ijesa nation on the sad occurrence. 


He pledged to network men of goodwill and charity organizations towards assisting the victims of the storm and particularly restore the Civic Centre. 


The President of Ilare-ijesa, Mr Samuel Fabunmi, who conducted the team round the crisis areas, lamented the natural disaster that visited the community at a time when an average family is seeking for means of survival. He confirmed that over N100m. has gone down the drain with the collapse of the Civic Centre. He therefore appealed for assistance from all over the world to relieve the community from the stress of the calamity. 


On the entourage of Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi were Prince Seyi Lufadeju, Chief Afolabi Igbaroola and Mr Wale Idowu.

The team ended the trip at the doorstep of Oba Moses Olufemi Agunsoye, the Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa in company of the Olodogo of Odogo-Ijesa, Oba Adebisi Owoeye, Chief Ojo Fasosin, the Saba of Ijebu-Jesa and the  National President of Ijebu-Jesa National Union commended Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi for spearheading the oneness and development of Ijesaland. Pa Bisi Odebunmi, proprietor of Fasakin Foods also  graced the meeting.
