Adeleke Prostrates to Greet Aregbesola...Issues Executive Order to Protect Him in Osun

Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke has issued an Executive order to protect an ex-governor of the state and current Minister of Internal Affairs, Rauf Aregbesola, within the state.

The Executive order is the seventh issued by Adeleke since he was sworn-in as governor on November 28, 2022.

The occasion was the official commissioning of Ilesa Passport Office and Production Centre, a Front Office for Nigeria Passport processing, where application will be made and biometric data of the applicant will be collected.

Adeleke arrived the venue at about 12:30pm, on Tuesday, a few minutes after his Deputy, Kola Adewusi, arrived the venue. Immediately he saw Aregbesola, Adeleke prostrated for the Minister and hugged the former governor warmly.

During his address at the commissioning, Sen. Ademola Adeleke assured that his security is guaranteed in the state.

“I am assuring you this is your state. I am issuing an executive order, this is your state, nobody can take you away. You are welcome at any time…very soon I will move to Government House but I am going to fix it up a little bit. The magnificent building that you started, I am going to complete it and you will do the commissioning, you will be the first person to sleep in there.”

Aregbesola, speaking about the establishment of the passport office, said the surge in the number of applications necessitated the establishment of more passport front offices across the country, which is borne out of the determination of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration to further make the process seamless.
