Residents of Ilesa in Osun State, members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress today trooped out in large numbers to celebrate the declaration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of last Saturday’s Presidential election.
APC members who were dressed mostly in T-shirt designed with the images of the president-elect and immediate past governor of the state, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola were seen in their large numbers around the Ereguru, Isare, Iloro, Oke-eso, Ijamo and Ereja roundabout celebrating the victory.
Before today, Ilesa town has been in a pensive mood since last Saturday election as residents were scared of moving around freely because of the fear instilled in them by the invasion of political thugs sponsored by the PDP ruling party into the tow to disenfranchise voters that are known to be members of the APC.
To celebrate the air of freedom APC faithfuls and residents erupted in celebration following the declaration of Senator Bola Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 presidential as they exchanged congratulatory messages over the victory.
The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye led the APC party faithfuls in the street walk that terminated at the Itabalogun APC Secretariat where he made a public address where he implored the people to come out in good number to cast their vote at March 11 House of Assembly election.

One would recall that the Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye on Wednesday escaped being assassinated by people suspected to be political thugs.
It took the gallantry of the men of Department of State Services and the Police officers attached to the office of the Speaker that repelled the assailants who arrived the premises of the Speaker at around 2AM shooting sporadically at the building.
The attack was also extended to businesses of Honourable representing Ilesa West State constituency, Hon. Wale Adedoyin and Hon. Folarin Fafowora, the immediate past Chairman of Ilesa West Central LCDA.
About 5 members of the APC had been killed in gruesome manner across Eti Oni in Atakumosa East, Oke Aga and Ilesa, notable among the dead is the immediate past Secretary of Atakumosa East LCDA.
