ADELEKE'S BUNGLED STAFF AUDIT: Osun PDP Lied On N50m Bribery Allegation* - APC.....Did APC Also Pay Consultant To Insult Workers?

Sequel to the publication of a false story by the Osun State chapter of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday through a fifth columnist accusing the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of bribing the organized Labour in the  state with N50 million to revolt against the Governor Ademola Adeleke-led administration over the bungled state workers' audit exercise, the leadership of the APC in the state has cautioned the PDP to desist from the use of satanic tactics to drive its government as it could be counterproductive.

It would be recalled that a story headlined *'How Labour Turned Down APC's N50m Bribe To Destabilize Osun Civil Service Over Staff Audit'* , published by an obscured news portal, was made to go viral by the Osun State PDP minions yesterday.

Commenting on the harangue, the Osun State chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued by the party's Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo, the state capital on Sunday, noted that the allegation of bribery against the APC was false, mischievous and silly.

Lawal stated that the allegation should be disregarded by the discerning members of the public as it was a product of hallucination designed to distract the attention of the state public workers who are yet to recover from the traumatic experience of last week when they were tongue-lashed by Governor Adeleke's sister-in-law, who was packaged to spearhead the state government staff audit exercise, before she was chased away by the angry workers.

The state APC chairman told the PDP handlers to cover their faces in shame for their juvevnile and puerile effort to shield their gross incompetence with such a barefaced lie.

Lawal disclosed that the bribery allegation against the APC is not only reckless but illogical, therefore needs further concoctions to make it reasonable to sensible members of the public.

He challenged the PDP to come out with facts to substantiate their claim because he whoever alleges must prove.

In the party chairman's words: "Who was the person that gave the imaginary bribe and to whom was it given among the labour leaders as was alleged in the evil publication ?",  Lawal questioned.

The APC chairman insisted that the party had no reason to weaponise the labour union because the kindergarten state actors had already invoked the anger of the hardworking workers with the manner the loquacious 'Margaret Thatcher' from Lagos mismanaged the whole process of the said audit exercise.

Lawal asked if it was the opposition party in the state that advised the Ademola-led administration to hijack the normal annual staff auditing from the state Ministry of Human Resources and Capacity Building and other relevant agencies? Or whether it was the APC that bribed the consultant to embarrass the state workers?

The apparently furious APC chairman further asked: "Where in the world will an employer request for BVN, NIN, statements of personal accounts of the employees from 2010-2023 before paying them their salary?  Can the scrutiny be fair where the employees will not be called to defend themselves?

"The staff audit exercise is injurious to the entire workers as it is a direct probe of their personal lives and calculated attempt to find excuse to sack them.

"If I may ask, have all the appointed officials like the Chief of Staff, the Secretary to the State Government, the commissioner-designates, the Deputy Governor, the governor himself and all the members of the state House of Assembly also submitted their bank details both local and foreign to the imported consultant? No doubt, the staff audit exercise is actually a staff  retrenchment exercise. And we smpathize with all the workers in the state over the ill-treatment being meted out to them by King Nebuchadnezzar in charge of the Bola House.

"We hope that all the traditional rulers in the state will also not be compelled to submit their statements of accounts as soon as they complete those of the workers, as it was said to being planned by the power drunks in Abere?"

e-SIGNED:

Sooko TAJUDEEN LAWAL,                        Chairman, Osun State APC.
