APC campaign office in Kogi vandalized

The campaign office of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Dekina LGA of Kogi state has allegedly been vandalised by suspected hoodlums.

Kingsley Fanwo, spokesperson for the Kogi APC governorship campaign council, made this known in a statement on Friday.

“This is to bring to the attention of the general public and law enforcement agencies that our campaign office in Dekina LGA has been vandalised by hoodlums,” he said.

“We want to commend the people of Kogi east for standing by the candidate, who signposts the unity of our dear state and for believing in a united and prosperous state.”

Fanwo urged APC supporters in Dekina LGA to avoid the temptation of launching a reprisal, saying the party stands for peace.

He said a preliminary report has been lodged while the legal directorate of the party is compiling a comprehensive report on the issue.

The governorship election in the state is slated for Novermber 11.

Usman Ododo is the flagbearer of the ruling party.

In July, suspected arsonists razed the campaign office of Murtala Yakubu-Ajaka, governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the state.

The campaign office had earlier been vandalised by hoodlums.
