Owa Obokun Adimula of IJESALAND, Oba Clement ADESUYI HAASTRUP, Ajimoko 111 has expressed deep concerns on the very deplorable condition of Ilesa - Ibadan road in the South West of Nigeria. The Imperial Majesty described the road as a terrible death trap for motorists and called on the Federal Government to take immediate alacrity at repairing the road to prevent accidents which may lead to loss of lives and valuable economic goods, especially by traders and commercial drivers who cannot but ply the road everyday.
The highly charismatic Imperial Majesty, aptly called Owa Akorede expressed his displeasures over the condition of the road while receiving some leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC at "Ipebi" on Sunday, January 5. The powerful delegation of APC in Ijesa South Federal Constituency led by Sir Kunle Akanni Odeyemi were on a congratulatory and courtesy visit to the Owa Obokun Adimula of IJESALAND. In the congratulatory message read by the State Treasurer of the Party, Hon. Femi Kujembola, the Party described the emergence of Oba Clement ADESUYI HAASTRUP as the best thing that has ever happened to Ijesaland. The Party leaders expressed utmost regards for the new monarch and assured him of their corporation and supports in every step to be taken by the Kabiyesi for the upliftment of Ijesaland. " We are Progressives and we will always support effort or project that brings development and tangible progress to Ijesaland, Osun State and Nigeria.
Responding with great pleasures, Owa Obokun Adimula said, " Sir Kunle Odeyemi is my Senior at Ijebu Jesa Grammar School and since I knew him he'd always been a dependable leader ". He expressed his appreciation for the support he received from members of the Party up to the Federal level during his journey to the throne of Owa Obokun Adimula. Kabiyesi Owa Obokun Adimula, however stated that he has been having sleepless nights over the execrable and appalling conditions of Ilesa - Ibadan Road. He charged the APC leaders to support him in his pragmatic intervention at ensuring that the road receives positive attention of the federal government. Kabiyesi Owa Obokun Adimula recounted his sad and ugly experiences on the road and his very deep concerns for traders and commercial drivers who cannot but ply the road everyday. "They must be passing through hell on the road, I pray daily for their safety".
Kabiyesi Owa Obokun Adimula later held a closed-door meeting with Hon. Ajibola Famurewa, Engr. Yemi Oguntominiyi and Alhaji Lateef Bakare, AJIROBA OF IJESALAND on how to get the prompt attention of the government to begin work on the road.
Other leaders of APC who accompanied Elder Kunle Odeyemi to Ipebi were Rt. Hon. Timothy Adigun Owoeye, and Hon. Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni, Hon. Babatunde Festus Komolafe (BFK). Though, Hon. Disu Oyedele, Salotun of Ilesa, and Mr. Akinyele Akintola were not part of the entourage, they joined the APC leaders to rejoice and congratulate Kabiyesi.
In a separate report, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa has confirmed that Kabiyesi, Oba Clement ADESUYI HAASTRUP, Ajimoko III was able to contact some members of the National Assembly and the Federal Ministry of Works over the deplorable condition of the road and that positive responses have been received from those contacted.
