A NEW CHAPTER UNFOLDS: HOLY TRINITY ANGLICAN CHURCH, OKUTU-OPE, ILESA TAKES SHAPE






In a significant milestone for the Diocese of Ilesa, Rt. Rev. Prof. Dapo F. Asaju inaugurated and named Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Okutu-Ope, Ilesa, marking a new chapter in the advancement of Christ's kingdom. The inaugural service was a resounding success, with enthusiastic participation from the local community.


The service began with a vibrant opening hymn, "Olorun Awa nfe Ile tolare wa" (IOM 527).  The congregation was filled with powerful praises, setting the tone for a memorable celebration. Rev. Canon E.O. Adagunodo, the Vicar, led the call to worship, followed by concrete readings from the Psalms and Scripture.






The Diocesan, Rt. Rev. Prof. Dapo F. Asaju, prayed for the people and the new church, seeking strength and guidance for the congregation. He then blessed and officially named the church Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Okutu-Ope, Ilesa.


In his sermon, Very Rev. A.M. Fademi expressed gratitude to the Diocesan for his tireless efforts in advancing Christ's kingdom. He shared the story of how the new church came into existence, highlighting the Diocesan's swift action in response to a discussion about establishing a new church in the area. Preaching from Acts 16:9-10 and Matthew 16:18-19, he encouraged the congregation to stand firm in their faith, holding onto the rock of Christ. He urged them to be faithful and trust in God's promises, believing that whatever they ask in prayer shall be established.




The Diocesan concluded the service with a heartfelt prayer and benediction, sealing the inaugural service with a sense of hope and anticipation for the future of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Okutu-Ope, Ilesa.
