Part One: A Public Lecture of Honour: Celebrating Ijesa Development Pace in Yorubaland

The day will commence at 11:00 am at the Zenababs Half Moon Event Centre, Ilesa, with the Birthday Public Lecture, with the theme “Celebrating Ijesa Development Pace in Yorubaland” will be delivered by none other than Ambassador Dr. Yemi Farounbi, an eminent statesman, diplomat, and scholar. His lecture will shine a spotlight on Ijesaland’s remarkable trajectory in cultural preservation, economic growth, education, and infrastructure, achievements to which Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi has been an indisputable catalyst.

Dr. Farounbi will not only highlight the pace-setting strides of Ijesaland in the Yoruba socio-cultural landscape but will also explore the visionary leadership and collective spirit that have propelled these achievements. It promises to be an inspiring testament to the power of unity, innovation, and community-driven progress.

Adding gravitas to the event, the session will be chaired by Prof. Isaac Folorunsho Adewole, former Minister of Health, esteemed academic, and distinguished global health advocate. His presence underscores the significance of this occasion, not merely as a celebration of one man, but as an acknowledgment of a community’s collective advancement and future potential.

The lecture promises to be an inspiring testament to the power of unity, innovation, and community-driven progress, offering lessons that resonate far beyond Ijesaland.
