Osun APC Celebrates Owa of Igbajo, Oba Adegboyega Famodun, On Birthday Anniversary

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has congratulated His Royal Majesty, Oba Adegboyega Famodun, the Owa of Igbajoland, on his birthday anniversary.

Under the chairmanship of Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, the party joins the wonderful people of Igbajo in particular and Osun State in general in honouring a royal father whose reign has been characterized by wisdom, dignity and progress.

In a statement from the party’s Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, today, Lawal praised the admirable qualities of Oba Famodun, calling him a monarch of peace, progress and principle.

He highlighted how Oba Famodun has shown unwavering dedication to the welfare of his people, ensuring that Igbajo thrives as a community of harmony and growth.

Lawal pointed out that Oba Famodun’s life and leadership embody exceptional qualities of service and sacrifice, as he has devoted himself to enhancing the cultural heritage, social unity and infrastructure of Igbajoland.

He described the monarch’s leadership style as a perfect mix of modern vision and deep-rooted traditional wisdom, making him a guiding light for his people.

According to the APC chairman: "Oba Famodun’s reign has bolstered the pride of Igbajo as a historic town with significant contributions to the socio-political landscape of Osun State.

"The Owa’s unwavering support for peace and stability has played a crucial role in maintaining the town’s impressive reputation as a stronghold of community strength and unity", the state party chairman said.

Lawal who took over from Oba Famodun as the state chairman of the APC recalled his predecessor’s lasting legacy of commitment and loyalty to progressive values.

He remarked that even as Oba Famodun transitioned to the esteemed position of Owa of Igbajoland, he has continued to champion justice, fairness and good governance in the society.

Lawal described Oba Famodun’s birthday further as a wonderful opportunity to celebrate his impactful life and to offer prayers for his continued success and well-being.

In Lawal's words: "We, as a party, take a great pride in the remarkable contributions made by Oba Gboyega Famodun to the party, the state, and the nation as a whole.

"On behalf of the State Working Committee and the entire APC family in Osun State, I am sending my warmest wishes to Oba Famodun and I am expressing hopes that his reign will continue to be filled with peace, prosperity and a lasting legacy.

"I am also praying for the monarch to be blessed with long life, good health and the strength to continue serving his people and humanity.

"Igba odun, odun kan ni o. Kabiyesi! Aseyi samodun, Oba wa, k’ade pe lori, ki bata pe lese, ki irukere di abere, Amin", the APC chairman prayed.
