It’s fleeting, in nature, but a period of time for God’s mercy and profound protection.
In some cases, it is a turning point marked by retirement, reflections, and celebration of a life well-lived.
It is a time to appreciate, glorify and express gratitude to the Lord for achievements of seven decades while looking ahead to new opportunities and fresh beginnings in the journey of life.
Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi, you have proven to be a resourceful manager of human resources with a remarkable display of determination, intellect, resilience and a well-rounded leader over the years.
You are a bundle of solutions scouting for challenges to surmount and new opportunities to display your God-given talents.
Little wonder, the Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland Oba Aromolaran installed you as the first Asiwaju of Ilesha.
Your title is not just a fabricated title, spurious or just imaginary. It is neither contrived nor controversial but a natural phenomenon.
Your installation as Asiwaju of Ilesha marks the beginning of epoch making and groundbreaking achievements in Ijesaland.
You have demonstrated through limitless epoch-making activities that you are a centripetal force, unifying the true sons and daughters of Ijesaland for the benefit of the land of their birth.
You are indubitably a Champion.
You spearheaded with grandeur and nobility the newly built Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, ultramodern palace, which has daunted and haunted the populace for so long to the point of being anathematized, but for your installation as the Asiwaju of Ilesha.

You redefined the impossible project to build a befitting palace for the Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland. Your leadership feat broke a jinx that has persisted for over 35 years.
There is no doubt that your innovative prowess, managerial ability, devotion, passion, and integrity stimulated you to surmount the intractable Owa’s palace.
I recall the slang “abínibí yàtò sí ability” you don’t give what you don’t have. “Nemo quod dat non habet.”
Yinka, indeed, you’re Asiwaju. It abides in you. “It is not titles that honour men, but it is men that honour titles” (Niccolo Machiaveil).
You have consistently demonstrated personal qualities, integrity, competence, respect and professionalism.
Little wonder, at the opening and dedication of the newly constructed Owa’s palace, your leadership qualities were publicly acknowledged and extolled by the Adimula, Owa Obokun Aromolaran
You were unprecedentedly elevated to the position of the first Asiwaju of Ijesaland by His Royal Majesty Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland. This was celebrated and welcomed with thunderous applause by all and sundry, present at the occasion.
Your initiatives and leadership style have made you become a rallying point kneading, the people of Ijesaland into one homogeneous inhabitant of Ijesaland.
This quality galvanized you to honour your title as Asiwaju of Ijesaland to initiate another landmark people-oriented project; the Geriatric Centre. One would have thought that the donors in Ijesaland would be fatigued, weary, and developed cold legs.
Undaunted, you motivated all donors by leading in the front. In no time, the project was completed, and now, being enjoyed by a mass of people who are elderly.
Besides, your focus is not only spearheading the building of a befitting palace for the Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland and the Geriatric Centre for the elderly generation of Ijesa, you channeled your efforts towards programs that cut across the youths and able-bodied men and women who are ready to seize the future through your other initiatives.
You have engaged and paved ways to a wide spectrum of Ijesaland youths in becoming professionals without groveling to anyone in particular who funded their schooling, projects, and many other initiatives that you have spearheaded
It is noteworthy that all the donors are anonymous to the beneficiaries.
Lest we forget, still on the youths, your many missives to the Osun State Government on the upgrade of the Osun State College of Education, Ilesha, to fruition; as the University of Ilesha is not a mean feat as you have not only written your name in the sand of time as a personality of value, but etched in the annals of history of the entire Ijesaland.
Your current focus as Asiwaju of Ijesaland, worthy of mention is your passion for legacy development and empowerment programmes for teeming indigent youths in Ijesaland.
I confess that it is an overwhelming uphill task to enumerate in just a birthday tribute, your superlative performances, achievements and earned accolades in one breath of a tribute.
I would like to summarize in this saying that the unknown craves fame, while the famous just want privacy.
Infallibility and perfection are not the hallmark of any human being. May the Ancient of Days continue to illuminate your path as you embark on this journey of life as a Septuagenarian.
I join the newly installed Owa Obokun Adimula Oba Clement Haastrup 111, in his supplications, to God the Almighty, for your continued “relevance in the history of Ijesaland, anywhere and anytime the giant developmental strides that you have initiated towards its present and future are being debated, as this will influence discussions about patriotism, Ijesa identity and leadership styles”.
I pray to Eledumare the God of our forefathers to give you the energy, good health, and wherewithal to continue to honour and discharge the responsibilities of your titles in the entire Ijesaland as your universe.
May Elédùmàare, the God of our ancestors, continue to glitter and bless your path in years ahead.
