Osun APC Congratulates Adereti on Emergence as AMBO’s Running Mate

The All Progressives Congress in Osun State has congratulated Engr. Benjamin Kayode Adereti on his emergence as the running mate to Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji ahead of the state’s governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.

In a press statement issued on March 8, 2026, and signed by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, the state chairman of the APC, Tajudeen Lawal, described Adereti’s emergence as both a divine arrangement and a strategic decision that would strengthen the party’s chances in the forthcoming election.

Lawal noted that the selection of Aare Adereti reflects the party’s commitment to merit, youth inclusion and the consolidation of progressive leadership across the state.

According to him, Adereti, who hails from the ancient city of Ile-Ife, is a seasoned telecommunications expert and a vibrant youth leader whose influence resonates strongly among the young population of the state.

The APC leadership stated that Adereti’s experience, energy and grassroots connection would complement the leadership capacity and administrative experience of Oyebamiji, forming what the party described as a formidable ticket that represents competence, inclusiveness and generational balance.

The party further expressed confidence that the Oyebamiji/Adereti ticket offers renewed hope for the people of Osun State, assuring residents that the APC remains committed to restoring effective governance, economic growth, youth empowerment and infrastructural development across the state.

Lawal also called on party leaders, members and supporters across Osun State to unite and mobilize behind the party’s candidates as preparations intensify for the crucial governorship election.

The APC expressed optimism that with Oyebamiji as its governorship candidate and Adereti as his running mate, the party stands a strong chance of victory in the 2026 Osun governorship poll, citing what it described as growing support for the party across the state.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to democratic values, people-oriented leadership and the collective aspiration of returning progressive governance to Osun State.
