According to the itinerary, the visit will be hosted at Windsor Castle and will feature a series of ceremonial activities, bilateral meetings, and engagements with members of the Nigerian diaspora in the United Kingdom.
Preparatory activities for the visit are set to begin on March 17, including security sweeps, road closures and rehearsals for the presidential procession ahead of the president’s arrival.
President Tinubu is expected to arrive officially on March 18, where he will be received by Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales.
The visit will include a ceremonial welcome along Datchet Road, featuring the playing of national anthems and an inspection of the guard of honour.
Following the ceremony, the Nigerian leader will proceed in a carriage procession to Windsor Castle where he will be formally received by King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
